StoreMan Trial/Demo

Still Not Convinced? Are you just the type that needs to get their hands on something before making a decision? Did you not find the answers you were looking for in our product description? Well then, try a hassle-free StoreMan trail or demo.

StoreMan4 is available as a Demo; StoreMan5 is available as a Trial. The difference is the StoreMan4 Demo comes with built in sample data so you can start playing with it right away; but can't work on your actual store data. The StoreMan5 Trail lets you use your own data, but takes a few more minutes to setup before using.

StoreMan4 models are for Merchant 4.x stores; StoreMan5 models are for Merchant 5.x stores.

StoreMan5 Trial

Use the StoreMan 5 Trail to get a feel for the power and productivity of our off-line content management system. The StoreMan5 Trail is a fully functional version of StoreMan5 Advanced with the following exceptions:

  • It is limited to the editing of 50 products. (It will download All your store content, but you can only upload changes for 50 products.
  • Category changes are unlimited so long as the change does not effect a product record. (For example, Products in Categories.)
  • There is no support available. (So, if you have less than 50 products, you are free to use the StoreMan5 Trail as long as you want, but there is no support offered.)

StoreMan4 Demo

Use the Demo to get a feel for the power and productivity of our off-line content management system without any additional setup or configuration. In fact, since it comes with sample databases, you don't even need an actual Merchant store. Just download, unzip, install and go!

The StoreMan Demo is fully functional version of StoreMan Advanced with the following exceptions:

  • It is limited to 40 products, 25 attributes and 100 options.
  • The FTP utility is disabled.
  • Its setup program will not install the product for use with your actual store files, instead it will use its own included database files which already contain sample content.

The StoreMan4 Demo download consists of a several files in an Windows Zip file.

To download and install the demo

  1. Click the link above. Your browser should open a dialog box which will allow you to save or run the demo file. Choose Save this file to disk, and click OK.
  2. When the Save As dialog box appears, choose a temporary location for the download file. Do not change the filename.
  3. When the download has completed, locate the StoreMan4.zip file you saved on your computer, then unzip the files into a temporary directory.
  4. In the directory where you unzipped the files, double-click the file installsm4.exe.
    Follow the installation program's instructions.

StoreMan4 Demo Notes

  • The StoreMan4 Demo is a demonstration product that is intended to provide immediate hands on experience with minimum hassle and concern. It is not trial ware or shareware.
  • Demo's are self-contained. You do not need access to a Miva Merchant store to use the Demo.
  • All StoreMan4 models work with either "standard look and feel" (mmui) or "Open UI" (oui) store interfaces.
  • The Demo is based on StoreMan4 Advanced. StoreMan4 Advanced has more features than StoreMan4. StoreMan4 Professional provides multiple store support in addition to the StoreMan4 Advanced features. Features in the Demo which are not part of StoreMan4 Standard, or Pro, are noted.
  

StoreMan5 Trial Notes

  • The StoreMan5 Trail is an actual version of the StoreMan5 product. You will need to follow instructions in the Quick Start Guide to connect to your store and get your store data downloaded.
  • The Trail version can be converted to a retail product simply by entering the License key. (License keys are distributed when your order the actual product from the store.) So, once you decide to get StoreMan5, all you need to do is enter the provided license key.
  • The Trail can be converted to either StoreMan5 Standard or StoreMan5 Advanced, and will work with any Merchant5.x store regardless of version or database type
